Food first — and everything else we can manage.
Five programs, all of them run out of one building on West Andrew Johnson Highway.
Tuesday – Friday, 1:00–3:30 pm
Food Boxes
Boxes of collected food, packed and handed out four days a week to anyone in the community who needs one.
This is the heart of what we do. Every box is filled from what the community donates that week, so no two are quite alike — but every one of them is food on somebody’s table tonight. No paperwork, no means test. If you need a box, come get a box.
Announced on Facebook
Surprise Clothing Distribution
Free clothing handed out on short notice — watch the Facebook group so you don’t miss one.
When we get a good donation of clothing in, we put it straight back out into the community. These are announced in the Facebook group, usually only a day or two ahead, so that’s the place to be watching.
November – December
Christmas Toy Program
Toys for local kids so that every child in Greene County has something to open Christmas morning.
The program our Elves & Angels chapter is named for. Families sign up in the fall, the community donates toys through December, and we sort, wrap, and distribute before Christmas. Sign-up dates are posted in the Facebook group.
July – August
School Year Backpacks
Backpacks and supplies for students heading back to school.
Every summer we fill backpacks with the supplies on the local school lists and get them to kids before the first bell. Supply drives run through July.
Spring
Easter Baskets for Elders
Easter baskets delivered to elderly neighbors in the Greeneville area.
A lot of our older neighbors spend the holiday alone. Every spring we put together baskets and get them delivered — sometimes the visit matters more than the basket.
Every one of these needs donations.
Please check expiration dates. We can’t hand out anything expired. The fastest way to help is to bring what’s on this week’s list, or send a few dollars so we can buy what’s missing.
