Hunger First Greeneville, the Elves & Angels chapter.
Nobody in Greene County should go to bed hungry.
Mission statement
Hunger First works to educate and empower the low-income, no-income and the homeless so that they can work together in solidarity with one another to remove the barriers that cause hunger and poverty throughout the Tri-Cities, and Tennessee and Virginia.

Who runs this
Michele Hicks leads Hunger First Greeneville day in and day out — packing boxes, answering messages at all hours, and making sure no family who reaches out gets turned away. Her bio is coming soon.
Placeholder bio — waiting on the real one from Michele.
Hunger First itself was founded in 1998 by Cindy Risk, serving the Tri-Cities across Tennessee and Virginia. Elves & Angels is the Greeneville chapter of that work.
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.
Matthew 25:35
We’re a Christian outreach, and we don’t hide that. But there’s no sermon at the door and no service to sit through. You don’t have to believe what we believe to eat what we have.
The Elves & Angels name comes from our Christmas program — the volunteers who show up every December to sort, wrap, and deliver toys so no kid in Greene County wakes up to nothing.
